The wedding was held in an empty factory building within a Cultural and Creative Industrial Park.
As the couple arrived at the wedding venue in a wedding car, most of the guests had already arrived.
At the entrance stood a blue and white flower wall with life-size signboards depicting two people in white shirts and black suits, holding hands and gazing at each other, exuding a perfect amount of romance that captivated all the single guests present. Beside the flower wall was the guest check-in area, where guests wrote blessings for the couple on specially designed message cards, signed their names, and dropped them into the message box to complete the check-in process. After checking in, guests received an entrance guide from the staff, along with the "Yunuo the Couple" wedding gift box.
The hall was divided into four sections: Encounter, Love, Commitment, and Devotion. Rainbow flags adorned every corner of the venue, and when viewed from the top down, the circularly divided sections formed the word "LOVE".
"Welcome to our wedding, here is the most romantic thing we want to tell you." Upon entering the first exhibition hall, guests could hear the recorded words of Nuo and Yu emanating from all directions with surround sound effects. Following these words inside, the walls of the hall displayed the memories of the couple's first meeting and impressions of each other in the form of diaries and comics. Hanging in the air were enlarged old photos. The growth trajectories of both individuals were depicted side by side until they finally met and fell in love.
This transition led to the second exhibition hall, which offered an immersive experience distinct from the first hall with its white-based colour scheme and warm hues.
"Yu, where did you hide my Luo Si Fen?"
"Threw them away, that stuff stinks too much."
"Then you cook it for me. When the meal is ready will determine my dining time for today." Nuo sat cross-legged on the sofa, engrossed in reading a book. Yu pinched the back of his neck in surrender, retrieved the hidden Luo Si Fen from the bedroom, cooked them in the kitchen, and jokingly said to the camera, "One day, I will make my darling want to eat Luo Si Fen and think of me!"
"Yu, get up and take your medicine." The room was dimly lit with curtains drawn.
Nuo turned on the floor lamp next to the bed, prompting movement from the person lying on the bed.
In the camera frame, Yu looked pale due to the changing season and a cold accompanied by a fever. Seeing the colourful pills in Nuo's hand, Yu, already feeling bitter, snuggled into Nuo's arms and complained, "I don't want to take them, they taste awful."
"Darling, take the medicine for the cold and fever. I made you a loquat and pear soup. After taking the medicine, we'll have sweet soup, listen to what the doctor says." Yu seemed to be transformed into a naughty child, nodding in agreement.
"Happy fourth anniversary."
"Happy fourth anniversary."
The ordinary dining table, with two bowls of noodles and two glasses of wine lightly clinking, the liquid inside swaying gently. Passing through the nostalgia of their shared past, they looked forward to every day in their future.
...
Guests were surrounded by a 360-degree screen, displaying daily videos and dynamic moments from the couple's love story, unfolding frame by frame. Is this a wedding? This is a large-scale heartwarming scene!
The final image froze at the moment when Yu put the engagement ring on Nuo's finger.
The third hall served as the banquet hall with a circular dance floor in the centre, a buffet on the left, and a DJ booth and orchestra on the right. The music changed every 20 minutes, encompassing genres from folk to Latin, catering to everyone's preferences and ensuring all guests had a great time.
As the couple's wedding car arrived at the entrance, the doors to the last exhibition hall were opened from the inside, welcoming guests to take their seats. The fourth hall represented the ultimate scene of their wedding, designed to resemble a library, with the backdrop shimmering with the words - "Yunuo Couple: Instinct".
Fu Yu, Wang Nuo.
Yu Nuo, Promise.
Like everyone else, Yu and Nuo had visited all the previous halls before reaching the fourth one.
"We have gone through so much together," holding hands tightly, Nuo remarked to Fu Yu. "My Little Prince, we are meant to be together for a lifetime," Yu pressed their intertwined hands against his heart.
Finally, they stood at the entrance of the fourth hall. The music played, and the doors opened once more. Clad in white shirts, black suits, and matching bow ties, the couple walked hand in hand towards the stage without diverting their gaze.
Sitting at the study tables on both sides of the "library," the guests cheered and applause the moment the doors opened, one after another. Among them were family and friends, some of whom had witnessed their journey to this moment.
Yu and Nuo stepped onto the stage, facing each other, listening to the officiator Lin’er's words.
"I do."
"I do."
They exchanged rings, and embraced, as the cheers and applause continued without pause.
After all the ceremonies were completed, they faced all the guests for the first time. Standing there, they could see the expressions of everyone below, all offering their blessings.
"Now, we invite the newlyweds to say a few words," Lin’er cleared her throat and spoke.
In a moment of distraction, Nuo heard Yu's somewhat deep and solemn voice coming from the side.
“Today, on March 14th, also known as White Valentine's Day, Nuo and I celebrate our wedding. Legend has it that White Valentine's Day originated in ancient Rome during the 3rd century. On February 14th, the Roman Emperor saved a couple who were originally sentenced to death for violating the ban on marriage due to love. To commemorate this day, the Roman Emperor established Valentine's Day. A month later, on March 14th, the rescued couple vowed to love each other until death, leading to the establishment of White Valentine's Day. While many view us as lovers who defied the ban on marriage for love, "At this point, Yu tightly holds Nuo's hand, rubbing the ring on his ring finger," we have come a long way to reach this day, encountering various challenges and differing opinions along the journey. I was born this way, but Nuo was captivated by my charm and ‘bent’ towards me. Whether he regrets it or not is no longer important today, as he is mine regardless."
"Fuyu, can you stop being so sudden!" the audience below heckled.
"This is genuine emotion, let me finish," retorted Yu, glancing over both sets of parents before focusing solely on Nuo. "Our wedding is named: Instinct. Love is a driving force of instinct, transcending race and gender – as long as two people love each other, it is love. Today, being able to marry with the blessings of our parents, I believe this journey on earth is not in vain."
Upon conclusion, he handed the microphone to Nuo, "My Little Prince, is there anything you'd like to tell me?"
"x? y?=1, Yu is Nuo's one and only for a lifetime. From now on," Nuo gazed at Yu and expressed the words buried in his heart, "In the consent form for your surgery, in the section for family members' signatures, there is now one more - mine."
In the post from that year, Nuo mentioned: that in this journey of life, I wish to live for myself once. I am certain that if anything unexpected happens in life, I hope he can openly sign in the family member's section of the surgery consent form, with the signature: my beloved.
This was his long-standing wish, which has now come true.
Nuo suddenly felt a surge of genuine realization.
Dressed elegantly, they attended, freely expressing their love amidst the crowd.
All the truths embedded in their remaining years are not illusions.
